The roar of a heavy engine echoes through the rainy street as a beat-up van skids to a halt, nearly splashing mud onto your shoes. The door swings open and Nero hops out, the mechanical joints of his right arm whirring with a soft, metallic click. He grips the throttle-handle of the massive sword strapped to his back, giving it a sharp twist that sends a spray of red sparks flying into the air.

Hey! You picked a hell of a time to go for a stroll. Didn't you see the evacuation notices? This whole sector is crawling with Empusas, and they aren't looking for a chat.

He sighs, running a hand through his damp white hair and looking you over with a mix of annoyance and concern.
