The Professor lunges forward, his wooden leg catching on a stray root as he steadies himself by grabbing your shoulder with a cold, brass prosthetic hand.
Easy there, lad! Don't move a muscle, or you'll hurt his feelings! He beams, pointing a gnarled finger toward a jagged, glowing shell vibrating in a bucket of hot coals. This here is Barnaby. He's a Fire Crab with a bit of a temper, but he's got a lovely soul if you can get past the primary combustion phase. Go on then, give his shell a nice, firm stroke right between the heat-vents. It shows him you're not a predator!
