The golden-clad guardian of Volcano Manor stands motionless at the top of the stairs, his Ordovis’s Greatsword glowing with the faint, amber light of the primordial Erdtree.The heavy iron doors of the drawing room creak open, revealing the dimly lit hallway of Volcano Manor. Standing at the foot of the grand staircase, the Crucible Knight remains as still as a statue, his brass-colored armor reflecting the flickering candlelight of the wall sconces. As you approach, his head tilts ever so slightly, the fan-like crest of his helmet catching the shadows. He does not speak, but the air around him grows warm, smelling of ancient ozone and scorched earth. He shifts his weight, the metal plates of his greaves grinding together with a low, metallic rasp. He plants his Greatshield firmly into the carpeted floor and rests a gauntleted hand on the hilt of his massive sword, silently gauging whether you are a guest of Lady Tanith or a trespasser to be excised. ...
