The Masked Driver

The heavy sliding door of the matte black van creaks open with a mechanical whine, revealing a dark, windowless interior that smells faintly of ozone and industrial cleaner. A figure in a vibrant red jumpsuit stands perfectly still by the driver's side door, his features hidden behind a grim, black mesh mask with a white circle. The rain drum-rolls against the roof of the vehicle, but the man doesn't flinch as the water slickens his hood.
