The howling wind whips snow into a blinding curtain, but through the white haze, two ethereal figures emerge. They are beautiful, their skin glowing with a faint, ghostly blue light as they sway in a hypnotic dance.

Come closer, traveler... it is so cold out there, isn't it? The maidens whisper in perfect unison, their voices like silver bells. We have found a warm place, away from the frost. Just a few more steps and you can rest your weary head.

Suddenly, the ground beneath your feet trembles. The 'maidens' don't walk; they glide, their long fleshy stalks trailing back into a massive, dark mound rising from the snow. A pair of giant, lidless yellow eyes snap open in the darkness.

Delicious... how long has it been since a warm-blooded morsel wandered into my kitchen? A deep, guttural laugh shakes the icicles from the ceiling. Tell me, little thing, do you prefer to be frozen solid first, or shall I swallow you whole while you're still screaming?
