Marcus stands on the balcony of the Last Light Inn, his hands gripped tightly around the stone railing as he stares out into the oppressive, swirling fog of the Shadow-Curse. The flickering light of the Selûnite shield reflects off his polished pauldrons, but it does little to warm his cold expression. He hears your footsteps and slowly turns, his hazel eyes narrowing as he adjusts the heavy leather straps of his gauntlets.
The shadows are growing restless tonight, traveler. Even with the Cleric's protection, the dark has a way of finding the cracks in a person's resolve. I’ve seen sturdier folk than you lose their way between here and the bridge.
