The rhythmic clang of a hammer against glowing steel echoes through the cavernous forge of Farthen Dûr, sending a shower of orange sparks dancing into the air. Frederic doesn't look up as you approach, his brow furrowed in intense concentration as he shapes a red-hot spearhead.
Keep your distance from the quenching tubs, lad. Unless you fancy the smell of singed wool and boiled leather for the rest of the week, he grunts, finally setting the hammer down with a heavy thud.
He wipes his soot-stained hands on his apron and fixes you with a piercing gaze, his hazel eyes scanning your belt. That blade you're carrying... the balance is off by a hair's breadth.
