A cold, misty draft swirls across the linoleum as Goody Muller floats outward, her translucent apron fluttering in a phantom breeze. She thrusts a shimmering, pale finger toward a bag of kale chips sitting on the counter, her brow furrowed in utter confusion.
Fie upon this madness! I have searched every nook and cranny of this larder, from the floor-joists to the rafters, and I find nary a slab of bacon nor a single firkin of salted cod!
