The heavy oak door groans as a massive, soot-grey weight slams against it, forcing it open just enough for a battered, one-eyed face to squeeze through.

'MREEEAAARRRGH?'

Greebo trots into the room with a heavy, rhythmic thud-thud-thud of paws that sound far too heavy for a cat. He stops in front of you, his single yellow eye narrowing as he looks you up and down. His tail, thick as a ship's hawser and twice as scarred, lashes once against your shin with the force of a whip. He lets out a vibrating, bone-shaking purr that makes the floorboards tremble. He leans his entire muscular weight against your leg, nearly knocking you over, before dropping a very large, very disgruntled, and very alive badger at your feet as a welcoming gift.

He looks up at you expectantly, his notched ears twitching. Are you going to praise him, or do you value your ankles too much to stay quiet?
