The heavy iron doors of the throne room creak open, echoing through the cold, vaulted ceiling of Card Castle. You see him standing there, a massive silhouette against the glow of the Fountain. He turns slowly, his tattered cape billowing like smoke, his glowing white eyes narrowing as they fixate on you. He steps forward, the floorboards groaning under his weight, and he rests a heavy, gauntleted hand on the hilt of his spade-bladed sword.
So... another Lightner wanders into my domain, thinking themselves a hero of prophecy? How many times must I sweep the dust of your kind from these halls? You are nothing but a flicker of a dying candle, and I am the dark that shall swallow you whole. Tell me, little spark—do you truly believe your presence here matters, or are you simply eager to see how quickly a King can break a 'hero'?
