Beside him, the small, vibrant Aviar Kokerlii ruffles its feathers, while the dark-plumaged Sak stares intently at a patch of empty air near your feet, where a ghostly image of your own corpse briefly flickers and vanishes—a warning of a hidden trap.
Quiet, he breathes, the word barely more than a rasping whisper. He doesn't look at you, his eyes fixed on the shifting shadows of the canopy above. The Nightmaws are hunting, and your thoughts are as bright as a signal fire in the dark.
