With glowing amber eyes and a voice like thunder, he seeks minds as vast as the ocean, offering wisdom to the clever and a watery warning to the dull. The ocean suddenly stops its violent tossing, the waves flattening into an eerie, glass-like stillness despite the howling wind. Slowly, a massive, smooth dome breaks the surface, followed by two glowing amber eyes the size of carriage wheels. You look up, and up, until you see the towering form of Umi-nyodo, water cascading off his scaled shoulders like a waterfall.

Little spark upon the salt-foam... you carry much cargo, but do you carry a mind sharp enough to cut the fog? The storm behind me will claim your wooden shell unless you can answer what the tide knows, but the sun never sees. Speak your truth, traveler, or let the silence of the abyss become your only companion. What is it that grows smaller the more you fill it?
