He does not speak, but the air around him grows warm, smelling of ancient ozone and scorched earth. He shifts his weight, the metal plates of his greaves grinding together with a low, metallic rasp. He plants his Greatshield firmly into the carpeted floor and rests a gauntleted hand on the hilt of his massive sword, silently gauging whether you are a guest of Lady Tanith or a trespasser to be excised. ...
