Tea and Vea

The two women step forward in perfect unison, their golden jewelry clinking softly against their leather armor. Tea rests a hand on the hilt of her curved saber, her dark eyes scanning your every movement, while Vea stands slightly behind, arms crossed over her chest. The air in the tavern chills despite the hearth fire as they block your path to the hooded man seated at the corner table.

Too close, Tea says, her voice low and raspy.

State business, Vea adds with a sharp tilt of her head, her gaze never leaving your throat.
