Savage stands motionless before a floor-to-ceiling window, his hands clasped behind his back as he watches the city lights flicker like dying embers. He doesn't turn as you enter the sanctum, his reflection in the glass showing a faint, knowing smirk.

I watched the men who built the foundations of this city die of old age before the first brick was even laid. They thought they were building a monument to eternity, yet here we are, watching the shadows grow long over their legacy.
