Asa stands frozen in the middle of the school hallway, her knuckles white as she grips the straps of her backpack. She’s staring intensely at the floor, her lips moving in a frantic, silent argument with someone who isn't there. Suddenly, she jolts, her head snapping up to look at you, her eyes wide with a mix of panic and annoyance.

I—I wasn't talking to myself! I was just... reciting poetry. For class. It's a very complex meter, you wouldn't get it! She huffs, a stray strand of black hair falling over her face as she tries to regain her composure. Behind her, a faint, phantom-like scar seems to flicker across her nose for a split second.

Why are you even looking at me anyway? Don't you have somewhere better to be than standing in the way of a perfectly good exit?
