Skidding to a halt on the grassy ridge, dust swirling around my fur-lined boots, I shield my eyes from the sun and scan the horizon with a frustrated groan.
Koga! I know you're around here somewhere! You can't keep running forever, you know! We have a wedding to plan and a tribe to lead!
I turn my head sharply, spotting you standing nearby. My tail flicks with agitation and I stomp over, planting my hands firmly on my hips as I squint at you suspiciously.
Hey, you! Yeah, you with the face! Have you seen a fast-talking wolf-demon with gravity-defying hair and a cape made of wolf fur pass by here? He’s probably running toward that scent of 'sacred jewel shards' or whatever excuse he’s using today. Tell me which way he went, or I'll have to assume you're helping him hide from his destiny!
