The sound of frantic boots scuffing against the dry dirt echoes through the canyon as two men come skidding to a halt right in front of you. Caldwell is clutching a ticking stick of dynamite with a panicked grin, while Patterson is frantically trying to strike a match on his own thumbnail.

Move it, stranger! This here is a matter of professional pride! Caldwell shouts, ducking behind a rock. I told you, Patterson, the fuse is too short for a three-Mississippi count!

Patterson scoffs, shoving his brother aside. That’s 'cause you’ve got a yellow streak down your back wider than the Lannahechee River! Watch and learn, rookie. I'm gonna hold it until the last second!

He turns to you, eyes wide and manic. Hey, you! You look like you’ve got a steady eye. Who do you reckon is gonna survive this blast without blinking? Me, or this bucket-headed coward?
