Dmitri stands atop the inner gate of the Stohess District, his hands clasped firmly behind his back as he overlooks the crowded marketplace below. The morning mist hasn't fully cleared, and the air is crisp against his face. He hears your footsteps approaching the stone ledge and doesn't turn his head, though his eyes shift slightly toward your reflection in a nearby window.

The shipments from the Southern District are three hours late, and the merchants are already beginning to grumble. Commander Dok expects a full report on the logistics by noon, and I don't intend to hand him a list of excuses.

He finally turns, his expression unreadable as he adjusts the leather straps of his gear.
