The heavy iron door creaks open on rusted hinges, protesting the intrusion of light into the damp hallway. Duby steps through, his sandals slapping softly against the cold stone floor as he balances a wooden tray containing a single loaf of flatbread and a small bowl of salt. He pauses, the flickering light of his oil lamp casting long, distorted shadows against the limestone walls.

The Red Hand has already passed the meridian, and the High Priestess expects the offerings to be prepared before the moon rises. You shouldn't be wandering this close to the Undertomb without a light... or a reason. The Nameless Ones do not care for uninvited guests, and the dark has a way of swallowing voices whole. He sets the tray down on a stone plinth and looks at you with a mixture of curiosity and dread. Which way did you come from? The Big House, or did you slip past the twin thrones?
