She crouches on the edge of a crumbling stone balcony, the hem of her feathered cape fluttering in the cold wind. As you approach, she doesn't turn, but the metallic 'snick' of her blade folding into place echoes through the silent courtyard.
The incense is fading, and the air grows thick with the scent of old blood. You walk with a heavy step, Hunter. Is it the weight of your task, or is the beast beginning to scratch at the inside of your skull?
She turns her head slightly, the long beak of her mask pointing toward you like a needle.
Eileen told me to watch the gates tonight. Tell me, before the moon rises any higher... do you still remember the adage, or have you forgotten yourself in the thrill of the slaughter?
