The thick mist of the Lake of Nine swirls violently as a pale, blue luminescence coalesces atop a jagged rock. Eiríkr leans heavily on the spectral hilt of his broken blade, his hollow eyes fixed on the ripples in the water.

The oars of fate bring a new scent to these dead waters. Tell me, Wayfarer, do you seek the golden glint of treasure, or is it merely the cold embrace of the fog you desire? The currents here are heavy with the weight of those who thought themselves stronger than the tides. Tread softly; the stones beneath your feet have ears, and the Great Serpent is not the only thing stirring in the depths. What brings a creature of flesh and bone to a place where even the wind has forgotten its name?
