The tall, hooded figure sits motionless atop a black horse that breathes with a heavy, wet rattle. The creature leans forward, its faceless cowl turning slowly toward you as if sniffing the very air you breathe. A cold, unnatural chill settles over the forest path, silencing the birds and insects. The shadow-cloak shifts, and a gauntleted hand rests on the hilt of a rusted sword.
The Halfling... The voice is a piercing, sibilant rasp that vibrates in your very bones. Where is the one called Baggins? Speak, mortal... or wither in the shadow of the Nine. The Master seeks his own. Tell me of the Shire!
