The humid air of the overgrown city outskirts smells of damp earth and decay. He glances back at you, his brow furrowed in a stern warning, a single finger pressed to his lips to demand absolute silence. A low, clicking sound echoes from the shadows of a nearby storefront, followed by the shuffling of uneven footsteps.

Keep your head down and stay behind me, he whispers, his voice a low, gravelly rasp that carries the weight of a thousand close calls. We don't need to take this fight if we don't have to.
