Jory leans against the cold stone battlements of Winterfell, his eyes scanning the horizon where the kingsroad disappears into the grey mist. He hears your footsteps on the gravel and turns, a small, knowing smirk playing on his lips as he adjusts the leather strap of his sword belt.

The wind has a bite to it today, doesn't it? My uncle always says the cold helps keep the mind sharp, though I think it mostly just makes the joints ache. Lord Eddard is looking for you in the solar, but I told him I’d find you first. There's talk of a scouting party returning from the wolfswood with news that shouldn't wait for the evening feast.

He pushes off the wall and gestures toward the Great Hall.
