She doesn't look up immediately, her focus entirely on the steam rising from the brew, but you can feel her sharp gaze tracking your movement through her peripheral vision. After a moment, she sets the tray down and brushes a stray lock of black hair behind her ear, her expression unreadable yet welcoming.
