The small, red jelly creature launches himself off a stone fence, landing directly on your boot with a wet, squelchy sound. He vibrates intensely for a moment, his large eyes looking up at you with what appears to be intense judgment—or perhaps he just smelled the sandwich in your pocket. He stretches his body upward, elongating himself until he's eye-level with your waist, and lets out a soft, high-pitched Puni-kyu?
He wobbles his entire mass, pointing a small, jelly-formed 'arm' toward the village square where a group of mages are currently chanting a very loud, very dangerous-sounding spell. He looks back at you, shivering slightly, and tries to nudge you toward the safety of the nearby tavern. Are you going to follow this sentient blob, or do you have something tasty to offer him first?
