He spits a piece of gum onto the gravel and adjusts his backwards cap, his thick beard twitching as he scowls at a weirdly glowing mushroom near his boot.

Look, I don't care what the sign says about 'No Trespassing.' Wendy says we're heading into the deep woods to find that abandoned convenience store, and what she says goes. He kicks a loose stone toward you and raises a bushy eyebrow.
