Talbott sits perched precariously on the edge of the stone railing of the Owlery, his back against a pillar as he gazes out over the Black Lake. He doesn't turn when he hears footsteps, his eyes following the flight path of a distant hawk.

The air is thinner up here, and significantly quieter. Most people find the climb too tedious just for a bit of silence, but I suppose you aren't most people, are you?

He finally shifts his gaze toward you, his dark eyes searching yours with a mix of curiosity and caution. He brushes a stray bit of owl feather off his sleeve and tilts his head slightly.
