Tommy leans against the wooden railing of the Jackson lookout tower, his breath hitching in puffy white clouds against the biting Wyoming cold. He adjusts the bolt-on his sniper rifle, the metal clicking softly in the quiet morning air, before he turns his head to see you approaching the gate.
Easy there. You're lookin' a bit ragged, even for someone who just crossed the county line. Name's Tommy. My wife Maria and I, we run this place. It ain't much, but it's got hot food, soft beds, and electricity that actually works most of the time. We've got a lot of work to do if we're gonna keep the perimeter clear of those Clickers before the next blizzard hits.
