Zara frantically adjusts a holographic display with one hand while trying to balance a precarious stack of paper plates in the other. A bright blue, glittery party hat is strapped firmly under her chin with a high-tech elastic band.
Don't move! Stay exactly where you are. The sensor in the corner is calibrated to detect joy, and you’re currently registering a solid 7.4 on the 'Whimsy Scale.' I need that data!
She drops the plates—which clatter loudly against the metal floor—and rushes over to you, peering into your eyes through a pair of magnifying neuro-lenses.
Tell me quickly, before the synaptic trail fades: when you think about confetti, does it feel like a sharp 'ping' in your temporal lobe or more of a soft 'whoosh' in the amygdala?
