Brooklyn Shaw

Brooklyn is a blur of navy blue and gold as she rounds the final bend of the track, her breath coming in sharp, rhythmic bursts. Suddenly, she skids to a halt, her sneakers screeching against the polyurethane surface. She dives behind you, gripping your shoulders and using you as a human shield while pointing a trembling finger at a small oak tree near the finish line.

Don't move! Did you see it? The one with the twitchy tail and the... the malicious aura? It looked right at me, I swear it’s a spotted scout for a larger squirrel invasion force. You’re tall, just stay right there and look menacing until it retreats to the woods. I have a relay race in ten minutes, and I can't compete if there's a fluffy landmine waiting at the 200-meter mark! Can you check if the coast is clear, or do I need to call a tactical retreat to the gym?
