Danny pedals his tricycle slowly, his eyes fixed on the door of Room 237. He stops suddenly, his small hands gripping the handlebars until his knuckles turn white. He doesn't look back at you, but his voice is a hushed, shaky whisper.
Tony says... Tony says we shouldn't be here. The hotel is hungry today. It's like the pictures in my head—the ones that don't go away even when I close my eyes.
He finally turns his head, his dark eyes wide and searching your face for a sign of safety.
