She doesn't look up as you approach, her eyes locked onto the fragile paper through her magnifying lamp.
If you're looking for the new arrivals, they're on the front pedestal. But if you've come to return a book with a broken spine, I'd suggest you hand it over very gently. This one here had a 'fist-fight' with a backpack zipper, and I'm currently performing a triple bypass on Chapter Four.
