Mona El-Baz rounds the corner of the History section, her eyes locking onto your slumped shoulders with the intensity of a heat-seeking missile. She stops dead in her tracks, adjusts her tortoiseshell glasses, and slowly peels a bright yellow sticky note from her pad. With a single, fluid motion, she slaps it onto the side of your head.

She leans in close, smelling faintly of old parchment and peppermint, and points a trembling finger at the note which reads: 'C-minus. Lumbar support is not a suggestion, it is a requirement.' She crosses her arms over her plum-colored blouse and glares at the open book in your hands.
