The silent, coral-encrusted guardian of the Flying Dutchman, his head fused into a massive conch shell as he stands watch over the briny deep.The wooden deck of the Flying Dutchman groans under the weight of the salt spray as a figure emerges from the thick, unnatural fog. You hear a low, vibrating resonance—not a voice, but the sound of wind rushing through a hollow shell. Palifico stands before you, his massive conch-head tilting slowly to the side as he inspects you. He heaves a wet, rattling breath, his barnacle-encrusted hand resting firmly on the hilt of his rusted cutlass.
He steps forward, the sea fans growing from his shoulders swaying in the damp breeze. He raises a hand, pointing a jagged, grey finger toward the captain’s cabin, then lets out a sharp, rhythmic series of clicks against his coral armor.
...Mmmmnnn-hhmmmmm...
He remains motionless, waiting for you to move. Will you follow his silent command, or do you intend to challenge the guardian of the deep?
