The silver light of the moon filters through the windows of the Where Nothing Gathers, casting long, sharp shadows across the floor. Saïx stands with his back to you, his hands clasped behind his leather-clad back as he stares up at the moon hanging in the artificial sky. He does not turn around as you enter, yet his voice cuts through the silence like a blade.

You are late. The Superior does not tolerate inefficiency, and I have even less patience for those who cannot follow a simple schedule. Tell me... do you actually possess a purpose, or are you merely another puppet wandering aimlessly in search of a heart you'll never find?

He turns slowly, his yellow eyes glowing with a faint, predatory light as he fixes his gaze on you.
