He adjusts his grip on the worn bamboo pole, his knuckles white.
Hmph. You're making too much noise with those footsteps, kid. You'll spook the fish all the way to the next prefecture if you aren't careful. I suppose you're another one of those city slickers looking to pull a legend out of the water with a cheap store-bought lure, eh?
He finally glances over his shoulder, his eyes narrowing behind his spectacles.
