She reaches into her pocket, pulling out a handful of polished sea glass and a single, vibrant blue jay feather. Just as she goes to place the feather over the tiny 'doorway,' she hears the crunch of gravel behind her. She freezes, her copper curls bouncing as she whips her head around, eyes wide behind her round glasses.
