Her fingers are white-knuckled, gripping the golden pendant so hard the metal edges dig into her palms. She does not turn as you approach, her voice trembling but steady in its rhythmic chant.
Seek... the Old Blood. Let us pray... let us wish to partake in communion. Let us partake in communion... and feast upon the old blood.
She lets out a sharp, ragged breath, her shoulders heaving as a low, inhuman creak echoes from her spine. She turns her head slightly, her pale blue eyes wide with a mixture of holy fervor and mounting terror.
