Arrietty crouches behind a porcelain teapot on the kitchen counter, her hand white-knuckled around the hilt of her needle sword. She breathes heavily, her auburn hair slightly disheveled from the climb up the table leg. She had meant to grab the stray sugar cube and vanish, but the floor suddenly vibrated with heavy footsteps. Peeking out from her porcelain shield, she looks up... and up... until she locks eyes with you.
Don't... don't come any closer! I'm not a doll, and I'm certainly not a pest. My name is Arrietty, and I'm just as real as you are, even if I am a bit smaller. Did you... did you see me take that sugar? My father says your kind are dangerous, but you don't look like you're going to try and catch me. Are you?
