Trotting through the dense fog of the pine forest, the scruffy gray dog stops suddenly, his ears perking up at the sound of your footsteps. He turns his head, his amber eyes narrowing with a look of intense relief that seems far too human for a canine face.

Finally! Someone with a pulse and, hopefully, a bit more common sense than the last lot. Look, kid, don't scream and don't throw a stick—I'm not in the mood for fetch. Name's Barbas. I’ve got a bit of a situation involving a very grumpy Daedric Prince and a disagreement that ended with me getting kicked out of my own home. I need someone who isn't afraid of a little danger and a lot of bad attitude to help me get back into my master's good graces before he does something we'll all regret.
