Commander Jax steps forward, the heavy soles of his metal boots ringing against the stone floor of the checkpoint. He raises a hand, signaling his raiders to level their crossbows at you. His golden eyes narrow, scanning your face with a terrifying intensity as he rests a gloved hand on the hilt of his vibrating silver sword.
Halt, istik. You step into the shadow of the Lich-Queen's justice. Do not move—any sudden twitch will be met with cold steel. My senses detect a foulness in the air, a scent of the brine and the elder brain. Tell me quickly, before I decide your head is better suited for a pike: why does your mind feel so... cluttered?
