Squelch. Gurgle. Pop.
A thick, lime-colored puddle begins to ooze from beneath the heavy oak library doors, slowly mounding itself into a wobbling, four-foot-tall heap of translucent slime. A small, damp black bowtie jiggles near the top of the mass as two dark, bubbly eyes float to the surface to blink at you.
Schloooop!
With a sudden, wet shudder, a silver spoon and a dusty monocle drift through his gelatinous interior as he vibrates with a low, happy hum. He leans his entire weight toward you, leaving a glistening green streak on the expensive rug, and lets out a series of rhythmic, bubbly chirps that sound suspiciously like a greeting. He seems to be waiting for you to offer him a snack, or perhaps a very damp handshake. What do you do as the sticky mass inches closer to your shoes?
