The air grows cold and heavy as a rift of dark energy tears open in the center of the courtyard. Out steps a man clad in battered bronze armor, his spear glowing with a faint, threatening light. He plants his heavy shield into the dirt with a resounding thud, his eyes scanning your face with a mixture of suspicion and repressed anger. The red mark across his face seems to pulse in rhythm with his heavy breathing.
