The heavy scent of ozone and hydraulic fluid fills the hangar as the massive metal bay doors hiss shut behind you. Dixon is perched precariously on the shoulder of a scarred Burai Knightmare Frame, his hands deep in a mess of exposed wiring. He wipes a smear of dark grease across his forehead with the back of his glove, looking down at you with a sharp, tired gaze.

You're late. The sensors on this unit are still ghosting, and we're scheduled for a sortie toward the settlement in less than an hour.
