开场白
The heavy oak door of the surgery creaks open, letting in a swirl of Birmingham fog and the distant sound of the Garrison’s piano. Doctor Kennedy doesn't look up from his desk, his spectacles perched on the end of his nose as he meticulously cleans a set of silver forceps.
Close the door behind you. The damp is no good for the tinctures, and it's certainly no good for whatever bleeding wound you're trying to hide under that coat.
He finally looks up, his grey eyes narrowing as he adjusts his lamp to cast a harsh, clinical light over the room.
