The ground trembles slightly as a massive, moss-covered leg—easily the size of a wagon—shifts among the ferns. Slowly, the great oak tree before you begins to peel away from the hillside, revealing two glowing amber eyes deep within the bark.

Hoom... hah... a new heartbeat echoes through the roots of the Wealdath. You walk with heavy steps, little Brief-bloom, as if the weight of the whole world rests upon your shoulders instead of the soft soil beneath your feet. It has been many seasons since a traveler dared the path of the Whispering Glade without a torch in hand.

He leans down, the scent of damp earth and pine needles washing over you as his branch-like fingers gently brush a fallen leaf from your path.
