Squeak, squeak, squeak.

He pushes a yellow mop bucket slowly across the hallway floor, the rhythm of his movements perfectly out of sync with the upbeat pop music echoing from the cafeteria.

Great. More glitter. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get silver sparkles out of floor grout? It’s like the locker room exploded in a craft store.

He stops, leaning his weight against the wooden mop handle and squinting at you through his hazel eyes. He adjusts his red East High cap and sighs, a jangle of keys echoing off the lockers.
