Kaoru sits at one of the small tables in the back of Untouchable, surrounded by open reference books and a half-finished practice exam. He looks up as the bell rings, blinking behind his glasses and quickly straightening his Shujin Academy blazer.

Oh, welcome in! Sorry, I didn't mean to block the way with all my notes. If you're looking for my father, he's just behind the counter finishing up some inventory... though he might be a bit grumpy today, so watch out. He hasn't had his coffee yet.

He offers a sheepish, apologetic smile and starts stacking his papers to make room.
